About the Project
Core Tech approached us with a vision to create a fully customisable gaming computer e-commerce website. The site needed to allow customers to configure their own gaming rigs — from processors and graphics cards to RGB lighting and cooling systems — all in a smooth, easy-to-use interface.
Our goal was to build a platform that could handle complex product variations, guide customers through each configuration step, and provide live pricing updates based on their selections.
Our Approach
Using WordPress and WooCommerce, we developed a modern, gamer-focused website that combined speed, usability, and visual impact. We integrated an advanced product configurator, allowing customers to:
- Choose individual components for their build
- See live price and performance updates
- Browse pre-configured gaming PC bundles
- Save their builds for later or checkout instantly
The design was dark-themed with neon highlights, reflecting the gaming aesthetic and appealing to the target audience.
The Result
Although Core Tech made the decision not to launch the business before going live, the website demonstrates our ability to:
- Create complex WooCommerce customisation systems
- Design for niche audiences like gamers and tech enthusiasts
- Build fast, mobile-responsive, and visually engaging e-commerce sites
We still have control of the domain and site content, and it remains a prime example of our WordPress development capabilities for tech-based businesses.
